We loved our hike on these hills - they're about twice to three times as
high as our Riverton hills. So great. But it was a hot, still day, and
the thorns were thick, so we did have some crabbies and dehydration.
There was one little patch of green here, another there, but mostly
things have dried up, all within weeks of our last rain. But the wheat
has made it; it'll be enough. It's wonderful. FYI, this is the
isolated town we mainly considered on our first trip here. It's only a
four hour drive from the big M town now - a great new road that goes
through Windy City. It was fun to get to know some new expat friends.
We saw them again when they joined us at the birthday party this weekend.
